COP 28 Updates from ICCN
On Dec 4, HKU ICCN co-hosted the COP 28 Press Conference: Opportunities for the Greater Bay Area Climate Collaboration, featuring Chuen-fai Wong, Commissioner for Climate Change in the Environment and Ecology Bureau of HKSAR; David Hochschild, Chair of California Energy Commission. Announcement being the Hong Kong Climate Forum next March, hosted by HKU ICCN with support from the HKSAR
ICCN COP 28 Observation: On Dec 2, Vice Premier DING Xuexiang of the People’s Republic of China visited and met with Chinese delegates at the China Pavilion at COP 28, he was accompanied by Special Climate Envoy Minister XIE Zhenhua, Minister HUANG Runqiu and Vice Minister ZHAO Yingming of Ministry of Ecology and Environment.
On Dec 4, Secretary Tse of the Environment and Ecology Bureau of HKSAR visited HKU alumni’s factory at KIZAD, Dubai.
